Avis Rent a Car is now offering digital membership cards for all Avis Preferred members.
The new digital Avis Preferred functionality means customers can now download their cards to their smartphones and devices.
The digital cards have been successfully rolled out in the European market and were introduced in South Africa at the beginning of this year.
The only Preferred cards that will continue to be printed will be those linked to corporate accounts and those belonging to invited President’s Club members.
To become an Avis Preferred member, visit the Avis Preferred sign-up page at https://book.avis.co.za/signUp, sign into your profile and choose “ADD TO MOBILE”, or go to www.avis.co.za/card.
Digital cards are available on the iPhone and Android platforms.
Avis Preferred members get immediate access to the perks of Avis priority service.
The benefits are: once-off sign-up and no membership fee; only driver’s licence required after sign-up; dedicated rental counter at most major airports; exclusive access to newest Avis cars; exclusive Avis Preferred priority phone and email contacts; keys waiting on arrival; free upgrades and free rentals.
