Ethiopian Airlines will later this year add flights between Addis Ababa and Manchester.

The airline also recently increased the frequency of its flights to London Heathrow.

There will be Manchester flights four times a week, with the service starting on 1 December.

The route is initially transiting via Brussels – no details have been given regarding whether the airline plans to convert it to non-stop service in the future.

Flights will be operated by two-class B787 Dreamliner aircraft, departing Addis Ababa at 00h45 and arriving in Manchester at 06h55, before returning from the UK at 19h00 and arriving back in the Ethiopian capital at 06h00 the following day.
