Ethiopian Airlines has concluded preparations to start new a flight to Chengdu (China) three times a week from 3 June.
Chengdu is the capital of China’s Sichuan province and country’s western centre of logistics, commerce, science and technology, as well as a hub of transportation, manufacturing and communication.
Flight ET0636 will take off from Addis Ababa at 00h10 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and arrive in Chengdu at 14h40.
Return flight ET0637 will depart China at 01h50 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and land in Ethiopia at 06h20.
Ethiopian is investing to make Addis Ababa a Chinese-friendly hub airport for the continent, with Mandarin translators and signage available at the airport transit area and in the Cloud Nine business class lounge. Chinese New Year is also marked every year at Addis Abba Airport.
