New developments at Tourvest

The end of 2010 saw the launch of Tourvest Destination Management’s brand new name and corporate identity into the marketplace. And now the beginning of 2011 is just as exciting as SA’s largest tour operator announces their introduction of a second business division, focusing on Sports Tourism and MICE business.

This second pillar will house all brands and divisions of Tourvest currently active in these business sectors (T.E.A.M. and Global Conferences Africa from TDM and Indo Jet and the TTS MICE division from Tourvest Travel Services), ensuring greater synergies and streamlining systems and business opportunities.

Spearheading this new division is Bryan Coetzee who has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer, effective 1 April 2011. Previously Director, Operations and Procurement at TDM, Bryan was very involved with the recent rebranding of TDM’s “I am an African” product range offering ticketing, bed purchase and escorted touring to all markets. Bryan joined Tourvest Inbound as General Manager Procurement in 2007 from Europcar, where he held the position of Sales and Marketing Director.

Of his new appointment, Bryan says “FIFA World Cup 2010 was a great success for TDM, and hence the reasoning behind the creation of this entire new division. The dynamics mean that we can now offer clients a variety of different services which I have no doubt will position us at the forefront of Business and Sports Tourism globally.”
