BT Africa Conference Partners with Heavyweights

Business Traveller Africa magazine has teamed up with travel heavyweights, Delta Airlines as executive title sponsor and HRG Travel as corporate sponsor, for the inaugural BT Africa Conference in Lagos, Nigeria. The BT Africa conference has an existing  media partnership with Business Day.

The two giants of international travel will be the headline sponsors for the one-day event, which takes place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, on the 31st of October 2011.

The conference is being organised by South African media group, the Future Group, in association with Nigerian partners, Tradeblazers.

It’s the perfect opportunity for executives and decision makers across the business travel spectrum, banks, government agencies, insurance, travel management companies and corporate business travellers to discuss African business travel with the executive travel trade from South Africa and the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS).

Topics for discussion include “The challenges and opportunities in setting up business in ECOWAS”; “Bringing developed nations’ service standards to ECOWAS” among other pressing African business travel issues, as well as an overall economic and business travel review of ECOWAS.

Tope Ogbeni-Awe, Chief Service Officer of Tradeblazers stated that, "the inaugural BT Africa conference provides the right platform for the emerging Nigeria and West Africa business travel markets to flourish and grow through cross-border networking in order to compete favourably with the developed countries."

“These are exciting times”, said Richard Lendrum, Future Group Managing Director and publisher of Business Traveller Africa magazine. “African business travel is such a dynamic space, constantly evolving and producing so many opportunities for so many different entities. Nigeria is at the heart of that, and it just made sense for us to bring together so many important role players in the African business travel space, in a mutually-beneficial environment and central location such as this. This is just the start and I urge you to watch this space!”

Limited seats are still available, with a special two-for-one offer.
