According to eTurboNews, inter-island air capacity is set to rise from  28 April when Air Seychelles adds a fourth weekly flight between Mauritius and Mahe, reflecting the increase in demand for travel between the two islands.

While most passengers are said to be either Seychellois or Mauritian, tourists also take advantage of visiting another one of the Vanilla Islands, of which both the Seychelles and Mauritius are founder members.

Newly-launched destinations Antananarivo (Madagascar) and Mumbai (India) are also due for increased capacity. Mumbai will get a fourth weekly flight, also commencing on 28 April, while Antananarivo will get a third weekly flight from the beginning of July, subject to regulatory approvals being secured in time.
