According to eTurboNews, Ethiopian Airlines has confirmed that it will separate the two destinations of Kinshasa (DRC) and Brazzaville (Republic of Congo) from 1 September.

Presently the airline operates a B787-8 aircraft on the triangular route, which leaves Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and then flies via Kinshasa on to Brazzaville, before returning to Addis Ababa.

A rise in passenger numbers and cargo shipments is the main reason behind the change in the flight plan. Kinshasa will remain a B787-8 Dreamliner destination, while Brazzaville will be served by a B767-300ER aircraft.

Daily flights will depart within 15 minutes of each other – flight ET831 to Brazzaville at 11h45, and flight ET842 to Kinshasa at 12h00.
