Uganda visa fees increase

According to eTNW, travellers to Uganda will now pay more for the pleasure after the country increased the cost of visas.

A single-entry visa, previously costing $43, now costs $52.50. The multiple-entry visa, valid for visits over the course of six months, has increased from $87 to $104.50.

The list of countries exempt from visas as stated on Visit Uganda, the official Uganda Tourism website, include: East African Community (EAC) citizens, nationals of COMESA countries (Angola, Comoros, Eritrea, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Madagascar, Rwanda, Seychelles, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe), Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Fiji, Gambia, Grenada, Jamaica, Lesotho, Malta, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Tonga, Vanuatu, Italy (only diplomatic passports) and Cyprus.
