This venue is also flexible and can be partitioned in to two rooms.
Dedicated to late ANC stalwart Oliver Tambo and featuring a beautiful portrait of this legend of South African politics as one walks through the cocktail patio and electric doors, it has also recently been expanded to accommodate a well-needed breakaway venue, which has become a vital component of modern day conferencing. A brand new boardroom is also now available in the reception area, removing the hassle of having to move to a different building, should you require some privacy. The OR Tambo Conference Centre can accommodate up to 1,500 delegates and has become one of Birchwood’s flagship venues.
Another venue worth noting is the Birchwood Terminal, a multi-purpose venue that was built in 2011 and designed to cater for any kind function. It is fully-equipped with conferencing equipment, back-up generators, and an in-house décor team. Unlike the OR Tambo Conference Centre, it is able to accommodate up to 3,000 delegates, and quick temporary to semi-permanent spaces can be created to suit your preferred setting. The options are endless and they range from weddings to corporate functions, product launches, information centres, lounges and exhibitions.
