Taj Cape Town is spread across two heritage buildings, it retains the original marble pillars, vaulted ceilings, glass domes and architectural elements of the legendary Temple Chambers and the South African Reserve Bank building, while the more modern tower dramatically rises above the city skyline.

The hotel’s business facilities and banqueting rooms consist of a range of seven well-proportioned and equipped spaces on the first f loor, able to host a variety of meetings, conferences and events.

The Reserve is the hotel’s luxury meeting and event space with an exclusive entrance on St George’s Mall. Occupying the grand African Banking Corporation Building which was built in 1894 later becoming home to the Standard Bank in 1927, it underwent meticulous restoration to preserve the heritage of this landmark building while introducing the latest technologies and conveniences.

The ABC Bar can comfortably accommodate 50 for canapés and aperitifs. The original grand Bank Hall allows for a variety of event formats with its 422m2 of space. The Vault was built in the 1920s as a walk-in bank vault, this unique 157m2 venue can host up to 80 guests in a unique, intimate cocktail setting. The Chairman’s Office is the original bank Manager’s office with its original teak panels and a charming fireplace. It is a perfect Cigar Lounge or breakaway room.
