British Airways has launched discounted fares to popular destinations in the UK, North America and Europe for this weekend only.
Return fares in World Traveller to London from Johannesburg start from $985, and $1,250 for flights from Johannesburg to New York and Los Angeles.
The same fares from Cape Town are $1,050 to London, $1,250 to New York and $1,200 to Los Angeles.
The sale, which includes a number of other cities in the UK, US, Canada and Europe, runs until 21 July for outbound travel between 1 and 30 September.
In other BA news, the airline is offering South African customers who book in Club World to London, Europe or North America, the opportunity to upgrade to First Class on one of the flight sectors.
If you’re departing Heathrow Terminal 5 or JFK Terminal 7 you’ll be invited to the Concorde Room – British Airways exclusive lounge with discreet booths, full waiter service, private cabanas and hi-tech business suites and an Elemis Travel Spa.
The First Class experience includes dedicated check-in desks, a fully flat six-foot, six-inch bed with quilted mattress and cotton duvet and pyjamas.
The upgrade offer runs until 31 July for outbound travel between 1 and 30 September.
