According to , Bidvest Insurance, a South African financial services provider, has launched a range of travel insurance products, which it believes complements its growing range of life, motor and household insurance offerings.
“Competitively-priced travel insurance products found a natural fit with the foreign exchange and related products offered by its sister company, Bidvest Bank, while the travel firms within the Bidvest Group’s Travel and Aviation division created a further distribution channel,” says Eugene Roden, Managing Director of Bidvest Financial Services.
Bidvest Travel Insurance says its products have been ‘innovated’ in certain areas to include competitive age limits, pre-existing cover on all outbound travel, and outbound and inbound products automatically including adventure and winter sports. Other features include improved cancellation benefits and extra care for senior travellers, the provider says.
The Bidvest Travel Insurance range will be available through the wider travel industry.
General travel insurance covers medical expenses, medical evacuation and repatriation, cancellation, supplier financial default, baggage loss/damage or theft, missed connection and delay, personal liability and personal accident.
