Business Traveller Africa Awards 2013

Johannesburg-based Future Group presents the second annual Business Traveller Africa Awards, which was launched in Sandton last year. It’s an event for the South African business travel trade, covering all aspects of business travel, including the four main areas of hotels, airlines, car rental and travel management, along with related categories such as foreign exchange, visas, travel insurance, gaming, rail travel, air charter, logistics, travel technology, cards, luggage, banks etc. The event is targeted at travel trade representatives from the areas listed, but is open to anyone with an interest in business travel. The objective is to reward excellence in South African business travel and to acknowledge those brands/entities that have performed consistently and with excellence over the past 12 months. In this regard, Future Group has partnered with independent research company TNS Research Surveys, to interrogate the industry, collate the results, and come up with the winners in each category. The Business Traveller Africa Awards also serves a networking function, bringing together representatives from all areas of South African business travel, under one roof on one morning. Attendees are expected to engage with each other, do some business, involve themselves in the two panel discussions – on hospitality and aviation – and celebrate the ‘year that was’ in South African business travel.
