The Cape Grace has completed its newly re-fashioned pool and outdoor area ahead of the 2014 summer season.
Reminiscent of a Mediterranean yacht moored in the bay, guests can now relax in an outdoor area that overlooks Cape Town’s acclaimed yacht basin.
Complete with a sunken lounge, rim flow pool and bar, the nautical elements enhance the experience of ‘being at sea’, with maritime design features carried through from Signal Restaurant to the pool and bar area.
The re-fashioning includes large sail structures installed for shade, whilst yachting-grade stainless steel fixtures such as bollards, winches, jam cleats and pully systems replicate the operation of the foredeck of a yacht, and lend integrity to the design.
Additions include changing rooms, shower facilities, a kid’s pool and a functional service bar with full access for disabled guests.
