1635

In South Africa, Cape Town’s growing reputation as a sought-after business and leisure destination is capturing the attention of many international players. Condor Airlines has recognised the allure of the city and has returned for its sixth season, operating flights to and from Cape Town International Airport for the Southern Hemisphere summer season.

Between 18 September and 28 April, Condor will operate three weekly flights between Cape Town and Frankfurt. The flights will depart from Cape Town International Airport at 17h10 on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and arrive in Frankfurt at 05h25 the next day. The return flight departs Frankfurt at 20h30 and arrives in Cape Town at 08h20.

An extra flight will be added on Wednesdays between 28 October and 29 March to service the increased demand of European travellers seeking warmer weather during the Northern Hemisphere winter. During this time, flights will depart from Cape Town at 18h10 and arrive in Frankfurt at 05h25. The return flight times remain the same.

The route will be operated using a Boeing 767-300.

Such is Cape Town’s seasonal appeal that Thomas Cook Airlines UK will also be offering flights to the Mother City from London Gatwick between 15 December 2018 and 30 March 2019.

Condor Airlines has been a leader in leisure flights since the 1950s. Now part of the Thomas Cook Group of airlines, Condor connects the world to its hubs in Frankfurt and Munich (Germany), from which it reaches far and wide to beautiful destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and America.

The airline has the capacity to carry 6.7 million passengers annually to over 75 destinations around the globe.

The fleet consists of the Boeing 767-300ER which will be used on the Cape Town route with a configuration of 39 seats in business class, 40 seats in premium economy and 135 seats in economy.
