According to eTurboNews, Bangkok-based Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas has announced the planned opening of its first ever resort on the private island of Félicité in the Seychelles.
Located 30 nautical miles north-east of Mahe, the island can be accessed from the international airport by helicopter, or by boat from either La Digue or Praslin islands.
Félicité is one of the 115 islands of the archipelago. The granite land mass is 650 acres in size.
The planned resort, which is expected to open in late 2015, will offer 17 private residences, two two-bedroom and 28 one-bedroom villas. In line with more recent government policy changes, which promote a one-island-one-resort setup, this will be the only resort on the island.
