Nigeria’s DiscoveryAir began flying on 9 June, having been granted an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

With the licence, DiscoveryAir has met the minimum safety requirements and its aeroplanes are considered safe enough by the regulator to fly within Nigerian airspace.

The new domestic airline is currently servicing Lagos to Abuja and Port Harcourt, with Uyo and Yola as future prospect destinations.
