SAX-Tanzania, a subsidiary of the Kenyan Fly-SAX airline, is making final preparations to commence flights in time for Christmas this year, subject to receiving regulatory approvals from the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority.

The airline is expected to employ a Bombardier Q400 with 68 seats to fly between the Tanzanian cities of Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Mwanza and Kigoma.

Brown Francis, General Manager of the airline based in Dar es Salaam, said: “We have chosen the Dash 8 Q400 because of its speed and size, and the fact that it is has a lower fuel consumption in comparison to bigger jets.”
