Flyafrica hit by CAA curveball

According to eTNW, Flyafrica’s inaugural flight from Johannesburg (South Africa) to Windhoek (Namibia), scheduled for 2 March, has been postponed, as the airline is still awaiting the Civil Aviation Authority’s final approval to operate on the route.

The CAA wishes to inspect the airline’s operations, which is its right, but can’t do so until late next week, which means Flyafrica will have to cancel flights until it receives the go-ahead from the CAA.

Affected passengers can opt for a full refund or they can re-book their flight for a later date. The airline will also give vouchers to affected passengers.
