According to eTurboNews, operations into the Maasai Mara’s airstrip in Keekorok (Kenya) were suspended last week due to the state of the runway. Since then, emergency repairs have been carried out and an early inspection has allowed for the resumption of flights today (28 July). Many camps use this airstrip for client arrivals and departures, but were forced to make use and of other smaller and more distant airstrips, causing inconvenience and increasing costs.
