KQ to fly to Vic Falls

According to Aviation Tribune, Kenya Airways will start a direct flight between Nairobi and Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) on 18 May.

This will be KQ’s 52nd destination and its second city in Zimbabwe after Harare, to which it operates 21 flights weekly.

The new route will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and will be linked to Cape Town. This will increase KQ’s operations to Cape Town from the current four, which are served via Livingstone (Zambia), to six.

The flight will depart Nairobi at 07h20, arriving in Victoria Falls at 09h30, leaving for Cape Town at 10h20 and arriving at 13h25. The return flight will take off from Cape Town International Airport at 14h15, arrive in Victoria Falls at 17h10, depart at 18h00 and touch down in Nairobi at 22h00.

The route will be operated by an Embraer E190 with a configuration of 12 business class seats and 84 economy class seats.
