According to eTNW, Mozambique airline LAM has introduced a product called ‘Letzgo’, offering cheap airfares on selected domestic flights.
Cheap seats can be bought for travel between Maputo, Beira, Nampula, Tete and Quelimane. The price reduction is substantial. A full priced return ticket from Maputo to Beira costs $415. With a Letzgo ticket, the price falls to $275.
These flights do not offer onboard refreshments and luggage is restricted to 10 kilograms in the hold and five kilograms of hand luggage per passenger.
Flights are carried out by a 50-seat LAM Embraer 145 and a 128-seat Boeing 737-300.
The Letzgo flight schedule runs at night, with departure times between 20h00 and 23h55 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
