Larger SAA aircraft to Mumbai

According to eTNW, South African Airways has introduced a bigger aircraft to operate the Johannesburg-Mumbai route. 

The route will now be served by an A340-300, replacing the existing A330-200. The replacement aircraft has a seating capacity of 253, 31 more seats than the smaller one. 

SAA flies to Mumbai’s Chahtrapati  Shivaji International Airport every day of the week, except Tuesdays. Flights are scheduled to take nine hours and 10 minutes.

Flight SA284 departs Johannesburg at 11h25 and arrives in Mumbai at 00h05. The return flight, SA285, departs Mumbai at 01h35 and arrives in Johannesburg at 06h55.
