On 4 July, Air Mauritius will launch morning flights between Johannesburg, South Africa, and Mauritius.
The airline has also introduced a weekly service to Beijing, China. The flight is operated by an Airbus A340. Flight MK686 departs Mauritius on Saturdays and leaves Beijing (MK687) on Sundays. The airline services two other Chinese destinations, with three direct flights to Shanghai and two direct flights to Hong Kong.
In other news, Air Mauritius has launched a new mobile website that allows customers to purchase tickets, check in, access ‘Manage my Booking’ and consult the airline timetable for updated flight information. The site is available in both English and French and can be used on most handheld mobile devices. Users are automatically redirected to the mobile website when typing in the standard airline URL on a handheld device, but customers can access the mobile site on mobile.airmauritius.com or m.airmauritius.com.
