New Phalaborwa hotel

The 4-star Bushveld Terrace Hotel & Guesthouse is the Limpopo province’s newest property.

The hotel, built on the original site of an old caravan park, is located a hundred metres from the Kruger National Park’s Phalaborwa gate.

Eight family suites and 18 luxury rooms have been designed to reflect the bushveld, and are furnished with recycled orangewood from aged citrus trees.

With eight en-suite bedrooms, the guesthouse – a renovation of the original homestead – can be leased out as whole unit or as individual rooms. The central lounge area and honesty bar, the swimming pool and open-air dining areas have all been designed to maximise the beauty of the setting.

Linked to the guesthouse by a lantern-lit pathway is the Hat and Creek restaurant. Situated in the hotel gardens, the restaurant offers guests a broad range of contemporary meals under the guidance of chef and owner Andre Nel.

The Kruger National Park, situated in the north of South Africa and sharing a border with Mozambique, is the country’s landmark national park.
