The new route will be operated twice weekly on Wednesday and Saturday mornings by a Cessna Caravan with a capacity of eight passengers, and aims to service the new Norman Carr Safaris Lodge and King Lewanika’s Camp in Liuwa Plains, as well as open up business links to the Western Province town, which is 70 kilometres from the Mongu provincial capital.

The flight schedule will operate between March and June, and October and December.
Flights will depart from Lusaka at 08h15 and arrive in Kalabo at 10h45. Return flights will depart Kalabo at 11h05 and arrive in Lusaka at 13h35, providing connections onto Livingstone, Lusaka, Mfuwe, Ndola and Solwezi and Lilongwe (Malawi), and flights operated by South African Airways, Kenya Airways and Emirates.
