Protea Hotel Mossel Bay remodels

Protea Hotel Mossel Bay has recently remodelled eight rooms and upgraded them from family rooms to Deluxe rooms, bringing the look and feel in line with modern international trends and finishings.

The eight rooms, which have been a part of the hotel since it opened as a guest house 25 years ago, now each has a king-size bed that can be split into two twin beds. The furnishings feature intricate woodwork and all furniture was sourced and produced locally in the nearby town of George.

Protea Hotel Mossel Bay is situated on the Old Post Tree Square. It has, amongst others, 15 Manor rooms, seven Harbour suites and one Presidential suite. With the eight Deluxe rooms, the hotel now has 31 units.

Mossel Bay is an important part of South Africa’s Garden Route, along the southern Cape coast.

The hotel, which forms part of the Dias Museum Complex, is also home to The Blue Oyster Cocktail Bar, a swimming pool, private secure parking, shopping complex, a coffee bar and the Café Gannet Restaurant.

Protea Hotel Mossel Bay’s next project is to improve the sundeck at the Blue Oyster Bar and to upgrade the Presidential suite to full 5-star standard.
