Following the July/August 2013 major renovations at Durban’s Three Cities Riverside Hotel & Spa (see story here), the hotel has started refurbishments to the establishment’s remaining rooms.
In 2013, the public areas and front entrance were completed and two mock-up rooms were presented to the board for approval.
Phase two includes renovating 28 rooms on the fifth floor with the look and feel of the newly-refurbished rooms, and the installation of a generator adjacent to the current power station on the east parking area.
Work is expected to conclude a week before the Easter weekend.
So as to not inconvenience guests, building works and installations begin and end during normal office hours, which fall out of arrival and departure times. However, there will be noise during the day from 08h30 to 17h00.
