Tsogo Sun’s Sandton Sun hotel refurbishment to the tune of $2 million is complete and the hotel is open for business.

The 31-year-old hotel, situated in Johannesburg’s Sandton business and retail hub, now offers 326 rooms and suites, eight fewer than before the renovation. The rooms are broken down into 286 superior and 10 executive rooms, seven studios, three junior suites, 17 suites and three presidential suites which include a private rooftop bar, deck and jacuzzi. Each room has been styled with luxury as a priority.

“We focused on taking the detail into account when we planned the refurbishment, ensuring that we incorporated simple things that will make our guests’ stay more enjoyable,” said Peter Davidson, Sandton Sun General Manager. “We created a feature in selected rooms where people can sit and work, ensuring we added touches such as USB points.”

All rooms offer complimentary wi-fi, mini-bars, Nespresso coffee machines and satellite TV.

The hotel also offers seven business suites for meetings and small conferences for up to 200 people. Situated adjacent to Sandton Sun’s lobby is Level II, a venue for cocktail functions, corporate events, product launches and year-end functions.
