According to eTNW, Senegalese President Macky Sall announced last week that the country would waive all tourist visas for international travellers from 1 May, in an attempt to revive its tourism industry.

The president added that he would also reduce taxes on airfares by 50%, in order to lower the price of air tickets and make travel to Senegal more affordable. Sall explained that he is in talks with various airlines to examine the possibility of also reducing the fuel surcharge.
