Travelport, a distribution services and e-commerce provider, and Karibu, a Tanzanian travel company formerly known as Waljis Travel Bureau and Karibu Holidays, have announced the continuation of their 15-year business relationship, with the signing of a multi-year renewal contract.
Travelport will continue to provide Karibu – which has been serving the travelling public in East Africa for the past 50 years – with its expertise and technology products and solutions including Smartpoint, Travelport Mobile Agent, Agentivity and eTravel back office system.
“The new contract reinforces our ongoing investments in East Africa as a strategic priority region, and we share Karibu’s ambition of providing the best possible travel content and technology to customers across East Africa and beyond,” said Mark Meehan, Travelport’s Managing Director for Africa.
