According to eTNW, South Africans travelling to Uganda can now expect to pay $120 for a single-entry visa and $160 for a multiple-entry visa.

These prices have been increased from the previous $48 for a single-entry and $95 for a multiple-entry visa.

To apply for a visa, visitors’ passports must be valid for at least six months, and they need to produce a completed application form, two recent passport-size photos, proof of accommodation, a copy of an itinerary, a letter of employment, a deposit slip submitted with the application, and a letter from the person being visited in Uganda, along with a copy of their passport or residence permit.

Business travellers require a letter from their employer stating how long they will be away from work, as well as a letter from the company in Uganda being visited.

All travellers require a yellow fever certificate.
