Following the airline’s resumption of services from London Heathrow to Hong Kong, New York JFK, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Tel Aviv, India, Lagos and many other destinations, Virgin Atlantic has unveiled its planned passenger flying restart to South Africa.

The airline plans to operate four flights a week from Johannesburg to London Heathrow from 19th October and increase to a daily frequency by the end of this year. The brand new Cape Town service starts from 10th December and will initially operate a limited schedule, and is subject to travel restrictions permitting inbound leisure travel from the UK to South Africa.

The health and wellbeing of customers and crew remain the airline’s number one priority. Measures include social distancing at the airport and onboard wherever possible, meticulous cleaning of the aircraft and individual Health Packs for all customers, containing medical grade face masks, hand sanitizer and surface wipes
