According to Breaking News Travel, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Blue Ocean Park have announced the opening of the Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius.
The resort enjoys a beachfront location in the historic Turtle Bay of Balaclava on the north-west coast of the island (See story here).
The hotel offers a variety of food and beverage outlets including the all-day dining restaurant Seasonal Tastes and the beach club Mystique, both of which feature the Westin brand’s signature SuperfoodsRx menu items.
The hotel also boasts three a la carte restaurants: Kangan, serving cuisine with an Indian flare; Fusion, an ‘east meets west’ style restaurant with strong local culinary influences; and the relaxed Beach Grill, positioned on the ocean’s edge and serving a variety of fresh seafood cooked on open barbeques.
Situated on over 10 hectares of land, the resort’s 190 guest rooms, including 38 suites, have been designed to embrace the natural beauty of the island’s unique scenery, and feature the latest in-room technology.
The resort also offers a Heavenly Spa by Westin, a Westin Executive Club Lounge, two swimming pools, tennis court and a WestinWORKOUT fitness studio. Other activities on offer are the RunWESTIN experience and Westin Gear Lending programme with New Balance. Sailing, snorkelling, diving, kayaking, water-skiing and day adventure cruises are also available.
