African Sun and Legacy Hotels & Resorts will undertake refurbishment and expansion of five of African Sun’s Zimbabwean hotels, including the Elephant Hills Hotel, The Kingdom at Victoria Falls, Hwange Safari Lodge, the Monomotapa Hotel and Troutbeck Inn.

This follows the news last week that Legacy had been roped in to manage and refurbish various city and resort hotels owned by African Sun at a cost of $60 million.

The 100-room Hwange Safari Lodge will be completely upgraded on a phased basis into a 4-star lodge, with a new waterhole to attract wildlife for guest viewing.

The Monomotapa Hotel is set for a face-lift to all its 240 rooms, with the addition of a new outdoor pool area and additional restaurant facilities.

Troutbeck will expand its leisure activity offering while retaining its Scottish Highlands feel and atmosphere.
