Aha Hotels & Lodges has announced the completion of aha Kopanong Hotel & Conference Centre’s extensive R1.6m ($118,00) refurbishment of its conference venues.
The property has 19 conference venues and is located only 12 kilometres from O.R. Tambo International Airport.
The upgrade included a complete internal and external overhaul of the hotel’s conference centres, with modern designs incorporated through new wall décor, lighting, carpeting and the addition of bespoke furniture to the business centre and conference lobby area.
Touch-ups and re-colouring were incorporated in the reception area, all public areas, guest restrooms and corridors.
The conference rooms accommodate a maximum of 400 guests in cinema-style seating, 270 delegates in school room seating, and up to 260 guests in banquet-style.
Free wi-fi is available throughout the hotel.
Kopanong Hotel has 56 fully-detached chalets offering a total of 166 bedrooms.
Each chalet consists of three individual rooms with private entrances, which can be opened up via inter-leading doors to allow complete access in order to accommodate group bookings.
Each bedroom is equipped with tea/coffee-making facilities, there are microwave ovens in all suites, a flat-screen TV, DStv, free wi-fi, a fridge, air-conditioning, and a private bathroom with a bath and shower.
The Gautrain Rhodesfield station is only 10 kilometres away, the hotel offers free parking and complimentary scheduled shuttle services to and from the airport.
