Air France celebrates 80th anniversary

904

In honour of its 80th anniversary, Air France has decked one of its new A380s out with exclusive livery, and Johannesburg was one of the first cities to view it.

An Airbus A320 will soon sport the same logo. The planes will keep this livery for the next year.

On board all flights this month, Air France Magazine retraces the 80 years of Air France, from 1933 to the present day.

Throughout this anniversary year, a famous writer will publish a short story for the magazine every month, with each story focused on travel. For October, David Foenkinos, a best-selling French author, supplied an exclusive short story entitled Before Alice. A collection of these stories will be published in a year’s time.

Throughout the year, products customised in the 80th anniversary colours, such as amenity kits, will be offered to customers.
A website devoted to Air France’s 80th anniversary tells the story of 80 years of flying – the airline’s network, professions, design and customers, illustrated by many photos and videos. 80years.airfrance.com
