Emirates to fly twice daily to Dar es Salaam

Emirates has announced that Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s principal port and commercial city, will become a double daily operation from 1 January 2015.

Emirates currently operates 12 flights a week between Dubai and Dar es Salaam, and with the addition of two extra flights on 1 January, Dar es Salaam will join Nairobi (Kenya) as the second destination in East Africa with a double daily service.

The second daily service will be operated with an A330-200 in a three-class configuration with 12 seats in First Class, 42 in Business Class and 183 in Economy Class. The two extra flights will provide an additional 948 seats to the 2,370 seats available on the current five times weekly service.

Customers on the route enjoy cuisine prepared by gourmet chefs and service from Emirates’ multi-national cabin crew, including Tanzanian nationals, as well as generous baggage allowances across all three classes – 50 kilograms in First Class, 40 kilograms in Business Class and 30 kilograms in Economy Class.

The first departure, flight EK725, will leave Dubai at 10h15 and arrive in Dar es Salaam at 14h55, while the return flight, EK726, will depart Dar es Salaam at 16h45 and land in Dubai at 23h20.

The second flight, EK727, departs Dubai at 16h55 and arrives in Dar es Salaam at 21h50, and returns as EK728, departing at 23h25 and arriving in Dubai at 06h15 the next day.
