New player enters Kenya’s hospitality sector

eTurboNews reports that Simba Hospitality (part of the Simba Corporation) has established the ‘Acacia’ brand.

Within the next two to three years Acacia will develop and build at least three mid-priced hotels in Kenya. The hotels will be situated in Nairobi, Naivasha and Kisumu.

The Acacia hotels will be managed directly by Simba Hospitality, unlike their Villa Rosa Kempinski and Olare Mara Kempinski properties which are managed by a hotel management company. The Acacia brand will initially offer Acacia Premier hotels in the 3- to 4-star segment and Acacia Express hotels in the two to 3-star segment.

First to open later this year will be the Acacia Premier Kisumu. It will boast 90 rooms and conference facilities, along with views of Lake Victoria.
