Premier Hotels & Resorts has invested over R18 million ($1.29 million) to accommodate the increase in visitors for both leisure and business at the malaria-free Premier Resort Mpongo Private Game Reserve.

Situated 40 kilometres from the East London Airport and 30 kilometres from the city itself, the private game reserve offers a unique blend of luxury and wildlife experiences on more than 3,500 hectares of conservation land.

The upgrades have resulted in the addition of two lodges – Indlovu Lodge and Umthombe Bush Villa.

The Indlovu Lodge offers great views and ample accommodation, with 19 rooms and two dormitories capable of catering for up to 40 people, and guests can enjoy access to a swimming pool and mingle in the shared communal lounge and dining room.

Ideal for both family escapes and corporate groups, the Umthombe Bush Villa offers five bedrooms, a boardroom/games room, braai area, swimming pool and lounge/dining room.

Over and above these improvements, Premier’s investment has seen renovations to the restaurant, upgrades to the Edu-Centre, and the construction of new administration offices.
