Qatar to fly to Djibouti

According to eTurboNews, Qatar Airways is widening its footprint in Africa with the addition of Djibouti to its network, starting on 27July.

The airline will initially fly three times a week between Doha and Djibouti with flights operating every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

In September 2013 the airline launched thrice-weekly operations to neighbouring Ethiopia. Qatar will be using an Airbus A320 for the service, with a dual class configuration offering 12 Business Class seats and 132 seats in Economy Class. With a fleet of 129 aircraft, Qatar operates scheduled flights to 136 destinations. In the wider Eastern African region, Qatar presently serves Entebbe (Uganda), Kigali (Rwanda), Nairobi (Kenya), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), and Dar es Salaam and  Kilimanjaro (Tanzania).
