According to eTurboNews, the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has granted Fifth Freedom rights to RwandAir to launch flights on the Entebbe-Nairobi route beginning 10 January. This will help fill the void left by the grounding of Air Uganda. (See story here)

RwandAir first launched flights from Entebbe (Uganda) to Juba (South Sudan) before setting its sights on Nairobi (Kenya).

For this route, which will initially operate two flights per day, RwandAir will use either Boeing B737-800s or a Bombardier CRJ900NextGen – both offering Business and Economy Class.
