The Peninsula gets a new look

Three Cities Peninsula All-Suite Hotel in Cape Town is undergoing a soft make-over for spring, to refresh the hotel’s aesthetic and foyer interiors, as the hotel moves towards a fresh, elegant maritime look.

“We wanted to begin the new season with a fresh, timeless aesthetic feel. Although this is only a soft refurbishment, the new rooms will be a vast improvement and provide sophisticated design suited to the modern traveller,” said property manager Fuaad Sieed.

The soft refurbishment will uplift the hotel’s foyer, lounge and rooms, with renowned interior designer to the hospitality industry, Motto Interior Design’s Dee De Kock, responsible for the interior makeover.

“We tried to stay away from trends that come and go and rather create an environment that is in direct harmony with its surroundings. In the process, the existing furniture was repurposed by reupholstering, using navy and white fabrics that are durable and timeless,” said De Kock.

The Three Cities Peninsula Hotel spends over R6 million a year on refurbishment, a capital investment of which 20% goes to the soft refurbishment of the multiple rooms.

Situated along Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard, the Peninsula All-Suite Hotel is a landmark on the Sea Point promenade.
