Avis Van Rental has a new product offering, Trailers for Rent. The addition of trailers to the fleet is in response to the growing demand for greater load-bearing capacity and more space than a traditional 1-ton bakkie (pick-up truck) can offer.
Three trailer sizes, custom-built for Avis, are available, including a 2.4 metre single axle trailer with a 750kg gross vehicle mass (GVM), a 3 metre single axle trailer with a 1,300kg GVM, and a 4 metre double axle trailer with a GVM of 2,300kgs.
Avis Van Rental has also included the option to rent a tarpaulin with the trailer. One-way rentals are allowed, and trailers can be rented on their own or with a vehicle.
