Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton have announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Zanzibar – Stone Town, located 64 kilometres off the coast of mainland Tanzania.
The oceanfront hotel is the brand’s third hotel to open in the country.
DoubleTree by Hilton Zanzibar – Stone Town features a selection of 58 rooms – 13 Deluxe rooms, one Accessible room, 41 Standard rooms, and three one-bedroom suites, all decorated with traditionally hand-carved furniture and featuring 40-inch TVs and ergonomic desks.
At the hotel’s conference centre there are eight meeting rooms and breakout spaces, a complimentary business centre, audio-visual resources and full catering services. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in guest rooms.
At Taarab Restaurant and Lounge, the hotel’s rooftop dining venue, guests can sample a menu of contemporary Western fare as well as traditional Zanzibar flavours, while taking in views of the sea and the old city. At Chai Kahawa, a casual café located near the conference centre, guests can enjoy international teas and coffees with local snacks.
Hilton HHonors members will be able to earn and redeem points with their stay. To mark the opening, the hotel will offer the ‘Summer Sale’ promotion, offering savings up to 33% on the best available rate for stays completed from 25 July to 31 September.
