Kenya Airways is putting the final touches on its executive airport lounges at its Jomo Kenyatta International Airport hub in Nairobi.

The multiple guest lounges currently under development at JKIA’s Terminal 1A will provide hospitality services for passengers flying on Kenya Airways and its SkyTeam partners.

The new airport lounges, developed at a cost of more than $1.3-million, could be operational by early October.

On the ground floor of Terminal 1A, KQ passengers will enjoy fast check-in services with up to 26 check-in counters for Economy Class ticket holders. Business Class and Sky Priority guests will enjoy the services of a check-in lounge with direct access to four check-in counters.

Once checked in, Premier World and Sky Priority guests will then have access to either the Pride Lounge or Simba Lounge.

All the new Kenya Airways lounges will feature free Wi-Fi, a sound-proof transit passengers sleeping area, dining lounge, washrooms and showers. At the business centre, KQ guests will enjoy a selection of tablets and E-readers.

Set on 991m2, the new Pride Lounge will feature a circular layout overlooking the airside and will provide premium hospitality complete with a cigar room, piped music (sectional), washrooms and showers, a kiddy zone and a dining/working area.
